GoSolar Philippines and CORA
Unite for a Greener Future
In today’s world, sustainability is no longer just an option—it’s a necessity. With the climate crisis at the forefront, organizations are stepping up to promote solutions that benefit both people and the planet. GoSolar Philippines and CORA (Communities Organized for Resource Allocation) share a powerful vision for a cleaner, greener future. Together, we are committed to building a better world through sustainable solutions and clean energy.
A Shared Vision for Sustainability
GoSolar Philippines recently had the privilege of joining CORA and esteemed organizations such as KOICA PH, USAID, USAID PH, and OSEAN for the launch of the first-ever Eco-Ikot Center at Barangay 128, Smokey Mountain Community, Tondo, Manila. This facility, which is driven by a mission of environmental stewardship, serves as a key milestone in showcasing how renewable energy and sustainable practices can bring about real change in communities that need it most. We are excited to contribute to this initiative and align ourselves with organizations that share our vision for a more sustainable world.
GoSolar Philippines’s Role in Promoting Clean Energy
At the core of GoSolar Philippines’s advocacy is the belief that everyone should have access to clean, renewable energy. Through this partnership, GoSolar Philippines will support the Eco-Ikot facility by helping it #GoSolar—leveraging solar energy as a sustainable power source. This highlights the benefits of solar energy and serves as a model for the local community to see firsthand how renewable energy can be a practical and long-term solution to environmental challenges.
GoSolarPhilippines’s participation in this event seeks to raise awareness about clean energy, demonstrating that solar power is for everyone—not just the wealthy or big organizations, but also local communities like those in Smokey Mountain, where affordable, sustainable energy can make a difference.
Spreading Awareness and Inspiring Action
This facility launch is about more than clean energy; it’s about community empowerment and environmental stewardship. By joining this event alongside CORA, KOICA PH, USAID, and other partners, GoSolar Philippines hopes to help spread awareness about the different ways people can contribute to environmental protection and sustainability.
The Eco-Ikot Center will serve as a hub to educate and engage the local community in practices such as:
Proper waste segregation
and recycling
Circular economy initiatives
that reduce waste
Energy conservation techniques
to lower electricity use
Sustainable resource utilization
including solar power and recyclable materials
These efforts aim to foster a culture of environmental responsibility, not just within Barangay 128, but beyond.
A Partnership for a Brighter, Greener Tomorrow
Though this is just the beginning of GoSolar Philippines’s involvement, we are excited about the possibilities this partnership holds. Together with CORA and the other participating organizations, we are committed to creating lasting, sustainable impact within the community. By supporting the Eco-Ikot Center and helping it GoSolar Philippines, we hope to contribute to a brighter, greener tomorrow for the people of Smokey Mountain and the world.
This collaboration represents a shared mission to empower communities through renewable energy and sustainable solutions. We believe that by working together, we can help spread the message that sustainability is within reach—and solar power is the key to making it happen.
We look forward to continuing this partnership and being part of the journey toward a cleaner, brighter future for all.
